MY EVENTS

The Story of AlzAuthors: How Three Daughters of Dementia Started a Global Community of Writers Sharing their Dementia Stories

Sharing our stories makes us strong.

1540949297Join me as I tell the story of AlzAuthors, the global community of authors sharing their Alzheimer’s and dementia stories to light the way for others. I helped found this organization in 2015 with two women I met online. We had all written books about our dementia experiences and came together to help promote Alzheimer’s awareness and our books. What happened next was totally unexpected: We created a movement that includes 200 authors, a website, book store, anthology, and more. Our mission is to lift the stigma from these diseases and empower those who live with them, their loved ones, and caregivers. Copies of our first anthology, Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregiving Stories: 58 authors share their inspiring personal experiences, will be available for purchase, signed by one of the authors (me.) Visit AlzAuthors.com
